My name is Brian Kerr and I am the UK Technical Director of Ivar Jacobson International. I spend my working life consulting in software engineering process, typically mentoring individuals, projects, and organizations in improving their “Way of Working”.
Outside of work I am interested in art and design in many forms including product design, graphic design, architecture, fashion, art, film, live music, etc. In particular I love to explore the connections between different disciplines, and hence the birth of this blog to share that interest.
One area in which I am actively working is the whole field of ‘User Experience’ and how this can be incorporated into the world of software development. I will be creating a set of ‘Practices’ to capture this information but will be sharing my thoughts on the way on this blog.
I also have a strange affinity with dogs so don’t be surprised if I manage to sneak the odd canine into my posts!
The postings on this site are my own and don’t necessarily represent IJI’s positions, strategies or opinions.
